He is actively involved in several charitable and professional organizations, including the Missouri Bar, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He has served as a board member of the Civil Litigation Section of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and has chaired its Torts Committee. He also served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, teaching a class in Advanced Litigation Drafting.

Among his recent matters:

  • A $3.75 million settlement for the survivors of a woman who was struck by a tractor-trailer in rural Kansas.
  • A $3 million verdict from a federal jury in St. Louis for the family of a man who died after being Tased by a Ferguson, Missouri police officer.  This case involved local and national media coverage related to the incident and subsequent trial.
  • A $2.5 million settlement for the family of an iron worker who died after falling more than 25 feet from a water tower in Saline County, Missouri. 
  • A $2.5 million judgment for an individual who was struck head-on by an intoxicated driver.
  • A $2 million settlement for an individual who was rear-ended by a commercial vehicle.

A longtime Missouri resident, Todd enjoys spending time with his family, boating and occasionally playing golf.
